Courtyard Garden Extension

A south-facing courtyard garden is created to provide privacy and shelter from the Scottish weather, allowing it to be used throughout the year.

The rear extension creates a bright garden-room that can be used for dining, as a living room, or just somewhere to be closer to the garden, while a rooflight makes sure the kitchen remains bright.

The layout takes hints from 'broken-plan' ideas, with long visual connection linking spaces together, but give each activity it's own area.

A covered walkway, complete with built in bench, create a route to the home office, situated at the end of the garden. Simple, contemporary style, mixed with almost classical proportions create a calm, relaxing area for your morning coffee, al-fresco lunch, or summer bbq.
